The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strong tries to clinch up but McLauhglin circles away and keeps his distance.
McLauhglin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Strong.
Strong clinches.
McLauhglin lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Strong backwards.
Strong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McLauhglin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McLauhglin fails with a takedown attempt.
Strong tries to counter by closing the distance.
McLauhglin has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Strong.
Joe Strong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McLauhglin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Strong manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McLauhglin manages to get himself to full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McLauhglin is trying to hold Strong in close to prevent damage but Strong has managed to pass into half guard.
Strong has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

McLauhglin tries to lock up and control but Strong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

McLauhglin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Strong looks for the body kick but McLauhglin saw that one coming.
Strong fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McLauhglin.

This has been an exciting period of action!

McLauhglin throws a hook to the side of Strong's head but Strong sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
And Strong responds with a good body kick, but McLauhglin manages to step out the way in time.

McLauhglin has Strong pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Strong manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

McLauhglin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Strong's guard.

and McLauhglin counters with a big uppercut that knocks Strong off his feet! McLauhglin dives into side control looking to finish!
Strong is rocked!
McLauhglin scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Strong is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and McLauhglin can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
