Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Pablo Manjuelez and Andrew Henry . Manjuelez's entrance music is el Jarabe Tapatio. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Henry 's choice of entrance music: knuck if you buck . There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 1 losses; Pablo Manjuelez! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 1 losses; Andrew Henry ! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Henry shoots for a takedown but Manjuelez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Manjuelez changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. A momentary lapse in concentration from Henry enables Manjuelez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Henry manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Manjuelez (2) vs (0) Henry Manjuelez trying to control but Henry is working from the bottom. Manjuelez sitting in guard here, content to control. Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Manjuelez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Let's hope that Henry has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Manjuelez manages to regain half guard. Good work.
