Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Montgomery Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns comes to the cage accompanied by Swagga' Like Us. Kazushi Sakuraba has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Montgomery Burns's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Burns.
Sakuraba throws a series of punches but Burns avoids them all with ease.
No luck for Burns with that takedown attempt.
Sakuraba cracks a nice hook into Burns's ribs.
A jab-cross combination lands for Sakuraba and sends Burns crashing to the mat! Sakuraba follows him down to the mat - Burns regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
It looks like Montgomery Burns has been cut.
Sakuraba looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Burns with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Burns is refusing to be controlled, as Sakuraba sits in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Sakuraba is stalling here. Burns is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sakuraba seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Burns has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Burns wants to stand but Sakuraba is controlling his arm.
Burns is trying to get an arm triangle but Sakuraba is defending well.
Burns wants to control but Sakuraba is keeping him busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Burns decides to stand back up.
Sakuraba's corner calls for a 1-2. Sakuraba obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Sakuraba goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Sakuraba tries to bum rush Burns with a series of wild strikes but Burns uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Burns fails to land the takedown.
Sakuraba swats away the attempt to clinch by Burns.
Sakuraba closes the distance and clinches.
Sakuraba breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sakuraba thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Sakuraba tries to control but Burns wriggling away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Burns is trying to escape the mount.

Sakuraba wants to control the pace but Burns is squirming around nicely.
Sakuraba jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Burns is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Burns and Sakuraba has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Burns gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Burns regains full guard. Nicely done.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Burns is on top in guard.
Sakuraba looking to hit a scissor sweep but Burns is one step ahead there.
Burns thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sakuraba scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Sakuraba swats away the attempt to clinch by Burns.
Sakuraba connects with a nice looking jab.
Burns moves in looking to clinch but Sakuraba pushes him off.
Burns doesn't manage to clinch there - Sakuraba circles away.
Sakuraba throws a right and a left that Burns avoids nicely.
Kazushi Sakuraba is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Burns.
Burns is looking to clinch but Sakuraba is avoiding it.

Sakuraba scores with a one two! Burns had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Burns shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sakuraba counters with a left and a right that stings Burns.
Sakuraba misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sakuraba lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sakuraba lands a jab to Burns's midsection.
Sakuraba swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sakuraba moves away from the strike by Burns.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sakuraba stalks Burns and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Burns's face. Burns staggers backwards, shaken.
Burns shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
