Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Taiwei Neo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ottwelder Gustavo !
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Gustavo has a takedown stuffed.
Gustavo avoids a punch combination nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gustavo . Neo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gustavo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Neo lands a nice looking body shot.
Gustavo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The crowd cheers as Gustavo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Neo doesn't seem phased though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neo has Gustavo up against the cage in a clinch.
Gustavo is looking to control Neo's arms but Neo gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gustavo has his back to the cage.

Gustavo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Gustavo throws a leg kick but Neo sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Neo moves away from the strike by Gustavo .

and Neo counters by moving into the clinch.
Taiwei Neo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ottwelder Gustavo .
Neo lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Neo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Gustavo blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Gustavo moves into the clinch.
Neo lands with a left to the head.
Neo working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Neo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gustavo with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Gustavo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Taiwei Neo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Neo has managed to clinch.
Come on Neo - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neo prevents a takedown attempt there.
Gustavo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Neo smiles and moves away.
Gustavo shoots in and drives through. Neo sprawls well.
Gustavo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Gustavo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Neo throws out a powerful jab.

Neo clinches with his opponent.
A bit of stalling here from Neo.
A short right from Neo.
Gustavo fails to pull guard.

Neo breaks from the clinch.
Neo with a jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gustavo .

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neo lands with a hook. Gustavo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Neo moves into range and clinches up with Gustavo .
Gustavo fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Gustavo is trying to maintain a safe position but Neo gets an underhook and turns Gustavo into the cage.
Neo misses with a knee strike.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Neo has Gustavo pressed against the cage.
Gustavo jumps guard but Neo stands there with Gustavo around his waist. Gustavo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gustavo is trying to pull guard but Neo has him pressed against the cage.
Neo lands a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Taiwei Neo dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Gustavo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Neo moves into the clinch successfully.
Neo is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Gustavo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Neo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Taiwei Neo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ottwelder Gustavo .
Gustavo takes a shot to the head.
Gustavo tries to score a body lock takedown but Neo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Neo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Gustavo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Gustavo dives in for a single leg takedown but Neo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
An inside leg kick from Gustavo misses.

Neo has Gustavo up against the cage in a clinch.
Gustavo can't get the takedown.
Neo lands a body punch in the clinch.
Neo is pushing Gustavo up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Gustavo tries to pull guard but Neo won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neo scores with a shot to the side of Gustavo 's head.
Gustavo fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Neo scores with a nice hook to the head.
A bit of stalling here from Neo.
Neo prevents a takedown attempt there.
Neo lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Neo throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gustavo blocks it with crossed arms.
Neo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gustavo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Gustavo breaks from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nice shot lands for Neo.
Gustavo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice uppercut lands for Neo. That snapped Gustavo 's head back.


It looks like Ottwelder Gustavo has been cut.
Neo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Gustavo throws a wild hook but Neo just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Gustavo gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Neo raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Taiwei Neo!
