Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Micky Pavano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamaal Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pavano might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Trash Tongue Talker. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Micky Pavano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamaal Charles!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charles pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Charles staying out of range there.
Charles throws a quick inside leg kick.
We've been hearing reports that Pavano has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Pavano darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pavano lands with a punch from half guard.
Pavano tries to pass the half guard into mount. Charles knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Pavano thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Pavano with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pavano is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Charles defends it well.
Pavano slows the pace down in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pavano is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pavano seems to be working for a kimura but Charles defends the submission attempt.
Charles avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pavano.
Charles looks like he's trying to stand up.
Pavano throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Pavano wants to take a breather but Charles is having none of it.
Charles is trying to stand back up but Pavano is controlling him
Pavano wants to lay and pray for a moment but Charles keeps working.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Pavano looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pavano not doing much here.

Pavano is trying for a kimura here. Charles looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Pavano wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Micky Pavano!
Micky Pavano decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
