Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erik Lara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Tickels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tickels has chosen The Killers - Mr. Brightside as his entrance music. Tom Tickels has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lara shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tickels's guard.
Tickels wants to sweep but no luck.
Lara stands up from Tickels's guard - Lara perhaps looking for a knockout.
Lara lands with a nice combination. Tickels backs away looking to recover.
Tickels darts in and clinches Lara up against the cage.
Tickels lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Lara backwards.
Tickels avoiding damage as Lara throws knees to the body.
Lara breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tickels cracks Lara with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tickels closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lara quickly recovers to half guard.
Lara kicks Tickels off and gets back to his feet.
Tickels clinches with his opponent.
Lara is fighting off a takedown attempt but Tickels is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lara to the mat. Lara regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Tickels missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lara is on top in guard.
Tickels had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lara defends it easily.

Tickels takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Tickels gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Lara looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lara is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tickels defends it well.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Lara is trying to work for a kimura but Tickels is defending well.

Tickels is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lara pulls his head out easily.
Tickels is defending against the submission attempts here by Lara.
Lara seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Tickels is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lara's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lara's back!

Lara is covering up but some of the strikes from Tickels are getting through and doing damage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Tickels.
Tickels lands punches and elbows.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Tickels. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Oh Lara is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tickels thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Tickels is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Tickels gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Tickels gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Tickels apologises and we restart here on the feet.

The referee is keeping an eye on Lara - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Lara tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Tickels avoids it.
Tickels manages to break the clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tickels throws an overhand right that drops Lara like a sack of potatoes! Tickels dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
