Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shit Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Chow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Face comes into the arena with Blue clear sky blaring out of the sound system. Kim Chow has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
36 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Shit Face! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim Chow! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chow fails with an attempt to clinch.
Face throws a leg kick but Chow sees it coming and checks it nicely. Chow is looking to clinch but Face is avoiding it.
Chow tries to clinch but Face is having none of it. Face shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chow manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Face is pushing down on Chow's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chow is fighting to maintain full guard but Face has managed to sneak the leg through. Face looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Chow is doing well to control the position and prevent Face from advancing to side control. Face is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chow works his way to full guard. Good work. Face trying to control but Chow is working from the bottom. Face slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Face tries to free his leg and advance position but Chow is retaining full guard. Face trying to control the position from guard on top but Chow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Face content to stall in guard here. Chow keeping full guard, as Face tries to pass. Face keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Chow's head. Chow is trying to keep Face in close.
Face wants to control from the top but Chow keeps moving. Face pushes down on Chow's leg and manages to get into half guard. Chow regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Face showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Chow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Face passes Chow's left leg - he's now in half guard. Face is looking for a kimura here.
Face passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Chow! Face goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Chow is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chow being controlled here momentarily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chow won't allow Face to sweep him here. Chow trying to control but Face is working from the bottom. Face is adopting a defensive guard. Chow engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Chow wants to control from the top but Face keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Chow forces his way into half guard. Face is staying active underneath Chow, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Chow is looking to stall here but Face recovers full guard. Face keeping moving, preventing Chow from controlling successfully. Chow must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Face not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Shit Face dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Face misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Face throws out a leg kick but Chow moves out of range and Face only half commits. Chow doesn't manage to clinch there - Face circles away.
Face drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Face tries for a kimura but Chow is defending well. Chow tries to improve position but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Face is putting a hurting on Chow here, landing some big shots from side control. Chow regains half guard.

Face keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Face thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Chow is defending against the submission attempts here by Face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chow tries to get to full guard but Face has control of the leg. Face not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Chow wants to control but Face is keeping busy.
Face is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Chow has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Face missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Chow tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Face has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Face thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Chow can't escape the position.
Chow tries to hold on but Face pushes him away. Face is trying to take his opponent's back.
Shit Face overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Face landing punches. Chow bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Face trying to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chow trying to control the position from guard on top but Face is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chow controls from within his opponent's guard. Let's hope that Chow has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Chow preventing the sweep. Chow controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Chow wants to pass the guard but Face is keeping the position. Face looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Face has Chow pulled in close to control his posture. Face can't keep his opponent in guard - Chow advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Chow slows the pace down in half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chow wants to free his trapped foot but Face is holding on for dear life with his legs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Chow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Shit Face has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kim Chow. Chow tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Shit Face is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Chow closes the distance but Face moves to the side and Face counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Face looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Chow has a hand on Face's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Face takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Face is landing with some decent strikes but Chow is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Face lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Chow hang on? Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Chow is desperately trying to improve his position but Face has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chow keeps trying to improve his position. Chow tries to hold on but Face postures up. Face can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chow is looking to escape. Chow wants to control but Face is having none of it. Face content just to control the position here. Face is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Face working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Face is working away from the top position though.

Face tries to escape but Chow has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Good control from Chow. Face tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Chow controlling his opponent. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Chow. Face is squirming around, avoiding Chow's attempts to control the action.

Face closes the distance and clinches up with Chow, looking for a takedown. Face pushes Chow against the cage but Chow circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nice defenses there by Face. Chow shoots in for a double leg but Face sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Chow doesn't manage to clinch there - Face circles away.
Face half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. The fight moves into the clinch position. Face has Chow pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Chow manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Chow tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Face has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chow down to the mat. Chow avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Face tries to keep at a distance but Chow has taken the fight into the clinch. Chow misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Face.
