Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arni Jarnkarl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andr De Fran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying De Fran's choice of entrance music: No Worries. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Andr De Fran was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jarnkarl feints a jab promting De Fran to slip. Jarnkarl then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. De Fran slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! De Fran crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jarnkarl - the referee stops the clock and De Fran gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jarnkarl. De Fran manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

De Fran's coach down at THC playhouse was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on De Fran's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but De Fran might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Jarnkarl has got the better of the exchanges.

Jarnkarl lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jarnkarl lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and De Fran has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from De Fran and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jarnkarl connects with a nice short shot to De Fran's temple.

Well Jarnkarl has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
