Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arlington Beech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parker comes into the arena with Flash - Queen blaring out of the sound system. Beech is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: You Know My Name. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kelvin Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Arlington Beech!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by Beech.
Parker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beech.
Parker getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Beech throws a lazy right hand but Parker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Beech tries to score with a low kick but Parker moves his leg out of the way.
Beech misses with a two punch combination.
Parker was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Parker checks a leg kick.
Parker throws a body shot but no joy.
Beech throws out a counter right but Parker avoids it with no problem.
Beech drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Parker lands a head kick. Beech smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Nice shot lands for Parker.
Parker has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Lightning Kicks (MaxID267K) in the buildup to the fight.
Parker shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Beech thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Parker if he has to take too many more of those.
Beech takes a swing at Parker's ribcage but misses.

Parker moves out of range of the body kick.
Parker scores with a sloppy right hand. Beech should have avoided that one.
Beech goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Parker swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Parker does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

It seemed like Beech was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Parker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Parker lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A little feinted left hand from Parker on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Parker throws a body shot but no joy.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Beech! But no joy.

Parker swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Parker punishes Beech's body with a nice straight punch.
A lazy left from Parker finds it's target.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Parker lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Beech has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Beech and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kelvin Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Beech! But no joy.

Beech throws a combination that misses
and Parker counters with a right hand to the body.
Beech throws a sloppy head kick and Parker moves out of range easily.
Parker scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Beech pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Beech with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Parker to score with a decent uppercut.
Parker throws a right and a left that Beech avoids nicely.
Beech doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Parker scores with a sloppy right hand. Beech should have avoided that one.
Beech looks to land a combination but Parker avoids it well.
An attempted straight right counter from Parker misses the target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kelvin Parker will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
