Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Jerome Seinfeld! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nero Padilla! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seinfeld stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Seinfeld wants it to stay on the feet. Padilla shoots for a takedown but Seinfeld saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Padilla fails with an attempt to clinch.
Padilla tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Seinfeld swivels and escapes. Jerome Seinfeld has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nero Padilla. Nice sprawl there from Seinfeld as Padilla shoots in. Padilla walks into a left hand.
It looks like Nero Padilla has been cut. Seinfeld throws a big shot that misses. Seinfeld throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Padilla shoots in looking for a takedown but Seinfeld manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Padilla's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Padilla is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Padilla tries to score a power double leg takedown but Seinfeld sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Padilla somewhat. Seinfeld appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Padilla fails with the takedown enabling Seinfeld to counter with a crisp jab. Padilla takes the fight into the clinch. Seinfeld swings wildly with an uppercut but Padilla uses good head movement to avoid it. Seinfeld breaks the clinch.
Padilla fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Seinfeld avoids it really well and circles away. Seinfeld throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Padilla dives in for a single leg takedown but Seinfeld sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Seinfeld throwing a counter right hand but Padilla manages to avoid it. Padilla shoots in looking for a takedown. Seinfeld tries to sprawl out of it but Padilla keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Seinfeld manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Padilla tries to close the distance and clinch up but Seinfeld swats him away and circles back towards the center. Padilla doesn't succeed with the takedown and Seinfeld counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Padilla gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Seinfeld counters with a straight right hand. Padilla pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Padilla tries to clinch but fails miserably and Seinfeld counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Nice takedown defense from Seinfeld. No joy for Padilla on that attempt. Seinfeld misses with a looping left. Seinfeld drops Padilla with a big left hand and mounts him. Padilla is in big trouble!
Padilla is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Seinfeld content just to control the position here. Padilla is still in real trouble! Can Seinfeld finish him? Padilla wants to hold on but Seinfeld pushes him away. Padilla seems to have recovered his senses. Seinfeld controlling from the full mount. Seinfeld wants to control the pace but Padilla is squirming around nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Seinfeld is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Padilla has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Padilla!

Seinfeld controls Padilla momentarily but Padilla frees himself. Seinfeld is pulling down on Padilla's head. It's preventing any offense from Padilla, at least for the moment. Seinfeld seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Seinfeld has a closed guard, preventing Padilla from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nero Padilla is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Padilla throws a looping overhand right but Seinfeld ducks down to avoid it. Padilla darts in looking for a takedown but Seinfeld gets double underhooks and turns Padilla into the cage. Padilla tries to clinch and Seinfeld counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Padilla fails in his attempt to clinch. And that's the end of the fight! Jerome Seinfeld showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Seinfeld, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
