Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathanial Berg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Martinez!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez tries to clinch but Berg moves out of range.
Berg throws a big counter combination but Martinez scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Martinez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Berg cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Martinez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Martinez throws a head kick that misses

and Berg holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Berg gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Martinez.

Berg jumps into guard, dragging Martinez to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Martinez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Berg has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Martinez has managed to get both his arms back between Berg's legs - danger averted.

Berg wants to sweep here but Martinez controlling him for the moment.

Martinez lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Berg escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martinez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Martinez passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Martinez wants to stand up but Berg has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Martinez slows the pace down in half guard.
Berg tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Martinez is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Berg moves into full guard.
Martinez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Well, if Martinez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
It looks like Martinez might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Oh Berg is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Martinez lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Berg quite badly. Berg pulls Martinez in close trying to recover. Martinez postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Berg on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Berg doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Martinez!
A relieved looking Chris Martinez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
