Heathen comes to the cage accompanied by Twenty One Pilots - Heathens. Coleman has chosen scaPEGoat-Sawano Hiroyuki[nZk]: yosh as his entrance music. The key to victory for Jeremy Heathen has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeremy Heathen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Randolph Coleman!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman fails in his attempt to clinch.
Coleman shoots in and drives through. Heathen sprawls well.
Coleman moves out of range of the body kick.

Heathen gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Coleman's coach down at The SkrapBox was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Coleman's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Heathen stalling in the clinch.
Coleman tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Heathen just stands there and leans against the cage.
Heathen stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Heathen lands a shot to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Heathen's face as he tries to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heathen scores with a shot to the side of Coleman's head.
Coleman looking for a takedown.
Jeremy Heathen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randolph Coleman.
A short left from Heathen.
Coleman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Heathen pulls his leg out and moves away.

Heathen moves into range and clinches up with Coleman.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Coleman decides to pull guard.
Coleman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Heathen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Heathen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Coleman on the ground.
Heathen throws a big right hand that misses.
Heathen looking to pass the guard.

Coleman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Heathen defends it easily.
Heathen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Coleman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Coleman managing to control the position.
Heathen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Heathen throws an elbow that misses. Coleman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Heathen's guard. Nice move by Coleman!


That's two minutes gone in the round.

Heathen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Heathen has his foot on Coleman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Coleman works his way back into a safe position though.

Heathen has his feet on Coleman's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Coleman tries to clinch but Heathen is having none of it.
A little feinted left hand from Heathen on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Heathen keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Decent striking displayed by Heathen there.


Coleman is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Coleman is aggressively charging in as Heathen backs up avoiding any damage. Heathen tosses out a jab and Coleman runs right into it face first! Coleman is out cold! Heathen dropped down on all fours and is barking in Coleman's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jeremy Heathen!
An out of breath Jeremy Heathen thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
