The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Carver enables Makunouchi to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Carver manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Carver lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Carver advances to half guard.
Makunouchi wants to get back to full guard.
Carver definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Carver is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Makunouchi is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
