Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Reilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Himura Kaede (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rashad Reilly has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rashad Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Himura Kaede!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Reilly with that takedown attempt.

Kaede drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Reilly is trying to control Kaede's posture but Kaede avoids it.
The referee asks Kaede politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kaede prefers to stall for the moment though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
What's Reilly going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Reilly wants to control but Kaede postures up.

Kaede looks up at the clock and then as Reilly takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kaede smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reilly takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Reilly is not content to let Kaede control the position.
Reilly struggling a bit here.

Kaede decides to stand back up. Kaede steps back and let's Reilly get back to his feet.

Kaede feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Reilly wants to control the position but Kaede says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Reilly is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kaede pulls his head out easily.

Kaede decides to return to a standing position.
Reilly fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kaede avoids it really well and circles away.

Kaede closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Reilly wants to control but Kaede postures up.
Kaede controls the position from side control.
You can see the frustration on Reilly's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kaede just content to control the position.

Kaede is looking to take a break and control but Reilly is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kaede wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reilly, who protects the arm well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Reilly struggling a bit here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Kaede manages to pull guard.

Reilly avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Reilly is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kaede wants to get back to his feet but Reilly is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kaede is trying to keep Reilly in close.
Reilly wants to stand but Kaede has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Reilly postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kaede has an active guard here but Reilly has managed to pass into half guard.
Kaede wants to control but Reilly is keeping busy.

Reilly is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kaede defends it well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kaede wants to get back to full guard.

Reilly is trying to work for a kimura but Kaede is defending well.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Reilly shoots in for a takedown but Kaede shows good takedown defense.
Kaede leaves Reilly with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kaede feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kaede tries to free his leg and advance position but Reilly is retaining full guard.
Reilly is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kaede missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Reilly is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kaede defends well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Reilly working for submissions but it's allowed Kaede to get to half guard.
Kaede thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kaede content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Kaede is keen to just control but Reilly is a slippery customer.
Reilly is trying to control but can't.

Kaede takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Kaede thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Himura Kaede showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Kaede gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Reilly has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kaede is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Kaede pulls guard.
Reilly wants to get up but he can't break Kaede's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Kaede looking for a guillotine here but Reilly defends easily.
Reilly wants to stand but Kaede is controlling his posture from full guard.

Kaede has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Reilly has passed into side control.
Kaede is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Kaede is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Kaede wants to control but Reilly postures up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kaede is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Reilly looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Reilly looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Himura Kaede has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kaede is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Reilly is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Reilly decides to stand and escape the position.
Reilly misses with a takedown
and Kaede counters with a flying knee. Nice.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Reilly shoots in but no luck this time.
Kaede changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rashad Reilly. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kaede dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Reilly. That did some damage!
Reilly shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kaede but Kaede pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sloppy strikes from Reilly. Those never looked like landing.
Kaede lands a big head kick that sends Reilly to the canvas! Kaede follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Himura Kaede!
