Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Bennett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Glen Taylor! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor scores with a hook. Bennett on the wrong end of a nice hook. Taylor looks to land a right hand but Bennett moved out of range. Taylor closes the distance and clinches. Taylor lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bennett backwards. Taylor is trying to pull guard but Bennett turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Taylor working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Bennett looking for a takedown. Taylor throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Bennetts head. A short right hand to the side of the head by Taylor. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Taylor creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Taylor wants the takedown. Bennett is fighting it off but Taylor persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bennett's guard against the cage. Taylor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bennett swivels though and keeps the full guard. Taylor content to stall in guard here. Taylor throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bennett works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor throwing strikes from guard but Bennett blocks nicely. Taylor stays in close to Bennett's body and controls the position. Taylor's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Taylor gets to his feet - Bennett follows without any prompting.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bennett tries to clinch but Taylor is having none of it. Taylor moves into the clinch. Taylor displaying some good clinch control by pressing Bennett up against the cage. Taylor manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
I was talking to Bennett's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Good body shot from Taylor.
Taylor keeps control of Bennett as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Taylor changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bennett fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Taylor lands a two punch combo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor lands with a cross. Taylor scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bennett doesn't seem bothered though. Bennett stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bennett wants it to stay on the feet. Ryan Bennett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glen Taylor. Bennett instigates a clinch. Taylor slows down the pace here.
Come on Taylor - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Taylor. Bennett has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Taylor avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Taylor. Taylor dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Taylor creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennett gets underhooks to prevent Taylor's takedown attempt.
A short right from Taylor on the inside. A short uppercut from Taylor. This has been an exciting period of action! Bennett letting Taylor take a breather here. Taylor lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bennett backwards. Taylor can't get the takedown.
Taylor lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A shot in the inside from Taylor. Taylor gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bennett.
Taylor is pushing Bennett up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. A short right hand to the side of the head by Taylor. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Glen Taylor dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Taylor jabs Bennett right on the nose. Bennett blinks but takes it well. Bennett wants to clinch. Taylor wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Taylor cracks Bennett with a right hand to the side of the head. Bennett has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Taylor finds it's way round the side to connect with Bennett's head. Taylor lands a right hook to the body.
Taylor misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bennett tries to clinch up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taylor works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Taylor rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bennett counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Taylor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bennett is aware though and is defending well. Taylor pulls Bennett in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bennett gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bennett knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taylor on the ground. Taylor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bennett manages to get himself to full guard.
Taylor advances to half guard. Taylor passes to full mount! Taylor lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bennett on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bennett tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taylor sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Taylor swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bennett is now in Taylor's guard. A big mistake from Taylor there, giving up the dominant position! Bennett in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Taylor had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bennett defends it easily. Taylor controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennett throws a big elbow that misses. Glen Taylor has got the better of the ground game so far. Taylor is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Taylor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bennett gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bennett accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Taylor wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Taylor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bennett doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bennett manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Taylor tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bennett wants to pass the guard but Taylor is keeping the position. Bennett throws a strike but Taylor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Taylor landing some decent shots from guard. Bennett working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Taylor. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Glen Taylor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Taylor has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Bennett seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Taylor can turn it around. Taylor has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bennett tries to clinch but Taylor moves out of range. Taylor will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bennett seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Taylor takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Bennett throws a right and a left that Taylor avoids nicely. Taylor lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bennett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Taylor swats him away and circles back towards the center. Taylor gets a clinch. Taylor leaning against his opponent.

Bennett is trying to pull guard but Taylor has him pressed against the cage. Taylor has picked Bennett up - he's going for a ride! Taylor dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Bennett throwing punches from his back. He's mounted here but still fighting back. Taylor looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor is continuing to stall. Glen Taylor is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Let's hope that Taylor has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that's the end of the fight! Glen Taylor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Taylor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
