Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Byron Jones!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Jones.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ong moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ong is trying to defend but Jones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Ong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ong tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Ong regains full guard. Nicely done.
Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Ong's legs - danger averted.
Ong wriggles free and stands up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ong!
Ong bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Ong throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.
Jones defending well as Ong loads up on a big left hand.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jones - that will leave a mark!
Ong fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Ong manages to escape and get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Jones lands with a nice combination. Ong backs away looking to recover.
Ong ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ong misses with a series of wild punches.

Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ong bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Jones clinches up against the cage.
Ong escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones throws a nice head kick!
Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard.
Jones wants to control from the top but Ong keeps moving.

Ong throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Ong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Ong is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jones has his hands clasped together but Ong extends and breaks Jones's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ong.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bob Ong!
