4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gus Beau! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beau lands a jab to the head.
It looks like Roger Schwarzeneg has been cut. Schwarzeneg shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beau as he avoids it easily. Schwarzeneg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Schwarzeneg instigates a clinch. Beau is trying to force a seperation but Schwarzeneg has the dominant position. Schwarzeneg gets a trip takedown into half guard. We've been hearing that Schwarzeneg has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Beau tries to roll over but Schwarzeneg keeps him under control. Beau is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Schwarzeneg wants to lay and pray for a moment but Beau keeps working. Schwarzeneg is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Beau defends it well. Beau is trying to stand back up but Schwarzeneg is controlling him
Schwarzeneg decides to stand up. Schwarzeneg feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schwarzeneg won't allow Beau to get back to his feet. Beau has momentary wrist control but Schwarzeneg slips an elbow through the middle. Schwarzeneg fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Beau sprawls well initially but Schwarzeneg persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Schwarzeneg is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Beau doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Schwarzeneg. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Schwarzeneg connects with a nice short shot to Beau's temple. Schwarzeneg seems to be working for a kimura but Beau defends the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schwarzeneg decides to return to a standing position. Beau throws a combination that misses and Schwarzeneg counters with a takedown into side control. Beau is looking to get back to his feet here but Schwarzeneg is keeping cool and he's managed to take Beau's back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Beau trying to get back to his feet but Schwarzeneg is in full control for now. Schwarzeneg controlling the position well here. Beau rolled but Schwarzeneg kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Beau tries to escape but Schwarzeneg has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Schwarzeneg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Beau is trying to get back to his feet but Schwarzeneg has full control of the position and if anything, Beau has just worked his way into a worse spot. Schwarzeneg looking for the RNC. Beau really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schwarzeneg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Beau just trying to survive but Schwarzeneg is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Schwarzeneg is persistently looking for the submission but Beau is defending it well.

Schwarzeneg leaves Beau with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Schwarzeneg is looking to counter the offense by Beau and move into the clinch. Schwarzeneg keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Beau. Schwarzeneg scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Beau is looking to escape. Schwarzeneg passes the guard and advances to mount!
