McGregor comes into the arena with The Foggy Dew blaring out of the sound system. Conor McGregor has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Mcalpine!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcalpine shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McGregor's guard.
Mcalpine looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
McGregor looking for a sweep. Not yet McGregor, not yet.
Mcalpine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGregor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mcalpine trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Mcalpine must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

McGregor had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mcalpine defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mcalpine got a little sloppy there for a moment and McGregor has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mcalpine has managed to get both his arms back between McGregor's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mcalpine stands up over McGregor, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

McGregor is trying to control the position but Mcalpine postures up.
McGregor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mcalpine manages to get himself to full guard.

McGregor throws a punch but it's blocked by Mcalpine.

McGregor with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

McGregor tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Mcalpine manages to circle out of the way.
