Anderson has chosen We will rock you as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Steven Delled!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson swinging wildly here.
Delled fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Delled misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Anderson.
Delled tries to clinch up.
Delled uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Anderson.

Anderson gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Anderson breaks from the clinch.
No joy there for Delled, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Delled jumps guard but Anderson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Delled looks to score with a jab to the body but Anderson is just out of range.

Delled tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Anderson smiles and moves away.

Delled takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Anderson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Delled off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Anderson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Delled throws a low kick but it's checked well by Anderson.
Anderson throws a fast counter high kick but Delled manages to duck under it in time.
Delled shoots in and drives through. Anderson sprawls well.
Anderson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Delled shoots for a takedown but Anderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Delled is breathing heavily.
Delled tries to clinch up
and Anderson counters with a slapping leg kick.

Anderson closes the distance and clinches.
Delled jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Anderson walks away with a smile on his face. Delled gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Anderson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Anderson lands with a kick to the temple. Delled shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Delled looks for a takedown but Anderson sprawls well.
Anderson connects with a high kick.
Richard Anderson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Anderson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Delled's head.

Delled drives through and clinches with Anderson against the cage.
Anderson misses with a shot to the kidneys.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A body shot lands from Anderson.

Anderson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Delled looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Anderson is fending him off so far but Delled persists. Nope, Anderson circles away and we're back to standing.
Anderson wants to counter with a clinch but Delled pushes him away.
Anderson connects with an inside leg kick.

Anderson has Delled up against the cage in a clinch.
Delled blocks a body shot from Anderson.

Anderson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Delled dives in and grabs Anderson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Anderson pushes down on Delled's head and hops out.
Anderson throws a counter combo.
Delled shoots in but no luck this time.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Delled is defended easily by Anderson.

Anderson closes the distance and pushes Delled back into the cage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Anderson obliges.

Anderson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Anderson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A punch combination from Anderson misses.
Delled appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Delled shoots in looking for a takedown. Anderson tries to sprawl out of it but Delled keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Anderson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Delled takes a shot right to the bread basket.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Richard Anderson dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Delled takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Anderson tries to clinch but Delled is having none of it.
Delled shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Anderson as he avoids it easily.
Delled tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Anderson swivels and escapes.
Anderson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Anderson lands a jab.
Delled doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Anderson counters by clinching up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Anderson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Delled takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Anderson throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Delled shoots for a takedown but Anderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Despite the aggression on Anderson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Anderson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Delled walks forward, straight into a front kick from Anderson.
Anderson throws a series of punches but Delled moves out of range.
Anderson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Delled's head.


It looks like Steven Delled has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Anderson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


Delled is rocked!
Anderson lands a high kick!
Oh Delled is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Anderson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Delled falls backwards - clearly groggy! Anderson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Richard Anderson!
In his post fight interview, Richard Anderson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Steven Delled spoke after the fight, saying 'Thanks to my fans for their support. We are going to come back better. '.
