Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mayo Kermode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Doom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kermode comes to the cage accompanied by Song of Australia. Mayo Kermode could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dave Doom's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

29 - 24 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Doom!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doom smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Doom has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kermode is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Kermode closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Doom throws an elbow but misses.
Kermode throws a head punch that misses.
Kermode lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Doom gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Doom working hard to break the clinch.
Doom lands a good knee to the midsection. Kermode won't want to take too many of those.
Doom escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kermode fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Doom, pushing him back against the cage.
Doom lands a nice knee to the body.
Doom pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Doom throws a right hand that Kermode ducks under and follows up with a left that Kermode also avoids with ease.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kermode stuns Doom with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Doom swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Doom does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Kermode throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Doom gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Kermode counters with a good low kick that Doom was not able to check.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kermode crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Doom - the referee stops the clock and Kermode gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Doom. Kermode manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Mayo Kermode seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doom has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kermode.
Kermode swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Doom counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kermode thinking.
Kermode misses with a wild body shot.
Kermode chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Doom can pounce on him.
Doom looks to score with a jab to the body but Kermode is just out of range.
Kermode is looking to clinch.

Kermode fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Doom.
Kermode moves away from the strike by Doom.
Doom throws a body punch but Kermode moves out of range.
Doom throws out a leg kick but Kermode moves out of range and Doom only half commits.
Kermode ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It looked like Kermode was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Doom.
Kermode tries to close the distance and clinch up but Doom swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Doom was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Doom throws a push kick but Kermode slaps the foot to one side.
Kermode chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Doom can pounce on him.
Kermode clinches up against the cage.
Knees in the clinch landing for Doom.
Kermode comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Doom is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Kermode misses with an elbow over the top.

Kermode lands a knee to the head.
Doom tries to land knees in the clinch but Kermode avoids the damage to the body.
Doom wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kermode lands with a short punch from the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kermode doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kermode blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Doom can't find room to land a body shot as Kermode controls the action.

Kermode throws a pinpoint strike between Doom's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Doom crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Kermode scores a great knockout victory!
