The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bikermann shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bikermann showed some decent athleticism there.
Bikermann is taking a breather. Azhiev says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Azhiev wants to improve his position but Bikermann is controlling well.

Bikermann keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Azhiev's head.
Azhiev is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bikermann frees his head nicely. Oh but Azhiev has switched to an armbar! Bikermann is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Anzhor Azhiev opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
