Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hendrik Vermeulen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaden Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koski comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Why can't we be friends? kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koski forces Vermeulen back against the cage and clinches.
Koski tries to pull guard but Vermeulen holds him up against the cage and eventually Koski drops back down to his feet.
Vermeulen misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A nice right hand lands inside from Vermeulen.
Vermeulen lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Vermeulen is working Koski over against the cage.
Koski manages to break the clinch.
Koski has a takedown stuffed.
Vermeulen looks to score with a jab to the body but Koski is just out of range.
Vermeulen takes a swing at Koski's ribcage but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been told by Vermeulen's head coaches at Team AVR that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Koski instigates a clinch.
Vermeulen breaks from the clinch.

Vermeulen tries to keep at a distance but Koski has taken the fight into the clinch.

Vermeulen lands a body punch.
Vermeulen gets underhooks to prevent Koski's takedown attempt.
Hendrik Vermeulen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaden Koski.

A nice right hand lands inside from Vermeulen.

Koski fails to pull guard.

Koski has Vermeulen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Vermeulen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Koski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Koski misses with a takedown attempt - Vermeulen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Koski moves into range and clinches up with Vermeulen.

Koski is trying to pull guard but Vermeulen turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Koski has a closed guard, preventing Vermeulen from standing up.
Vermeulen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Koski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Vermeulen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Koski shoots in looking for a takedown but Vermeulen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Koski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Koski throws a right and a left that Vermeulen avoids nicely.
Koski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vermeulen circles away quickly and effectively.
Koski takes one to the chin there.
Koski misses with a takedown
letting Vermeulen counter with a right hand.
Koski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vermeulen as he avoids it easily.
Vermeulen seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Koski shoots in looking for a takedown. Vermeulen tries to sprawl out of it but Koski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vermeulen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Vermeulen looks to land a combination but Koski avoids it well.
Koski unleashes a big counter combination but Vermeulen bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Koski tries to keep at a distance but Vermeulen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Vermeulen lands a shot to the body.

Vermeulen lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Koski or not.
Vermeulen pushes Koski back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vermeulen gets through Koski's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Vermeulen drops Koski with a beautiful combination! Koski stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Vermeulen is looking for the KO!
Koski is rocked!
It looks like Kaden Koski has been cut.
Koski with a poor takedown
and Vermeulen rattles Koski with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Koski tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Vermeulen dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Koski stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Hendrik Vermeulen!
After winning the bout, Hendrik Vermeulen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Kaden Koski was interviewed post fight and said 'i eat ass. '.
