Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Kristian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akheem Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kristian comes to the cage accompanied by Light It Up. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Kristian! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Akheem Flynn! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kristian misses with a wild combination.
Kristian tries to sprawl but Flynn drives through with a takedown into half guard. Kristian is defending against the submission attempts here by Flynn.
Flynn is looking to stall here but Kristian recovers full guard. Kristian pulls Flynn in close to his closed guard and prevents Flynn from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flynn passes Kristian's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flynn tries to pass to full mount but Kristian defends it. Flynn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kristian sees it coming and defends easily. Flynn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kristian wants to improve his position but Flynn is controlling well.
Flynn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kristian does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Flynn seems to be working for a kimura but Kristian defends the submission attempt. Flynn wants to work for an arm triangle but Kristian is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Flynn seems to be looking for submissions.
Kristian is trying to stand.
Flynn is trying to control the action in half guard but Kristian is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kristian is trying to stand up here but Flynn is controlling him well.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Akheem Flynn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Flynn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Flynn has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Nice sprawl there from Kristian as Flynn shoots in. Flynn shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kristian as he avoids it easily. Flynn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kristian as he jumps to the side. Michael Kristian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akheem Flynn.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kristian misses the shot to the body. A leg kick checked by Flynn. Kristian clinches. Kristian lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Kristian lands with a right to the head. Flynn looking for a takedown. Kristian makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Kristian cracks Flynn with a nice body shot. A right handed body shot lands from Kristian.
Flynn looks winded! Kristian softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Kristian breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Flynn misses with a takedown attempt - Kristian sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kristian works the jab nicely. Kristian forces Flynn back against the cage and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kristian lands with a short shot to the head. A short right from Kristian on the inside. Flynn tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kristian smiles and moves away.

A body shot lands from Kristian.
Kristian's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kristian swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Flynn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kristian.
Flynn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kristian swivels and escapes. Kristian stuffs the takedown attempt from Flynn. Flynn gets slowly back to his feet. Kristian throws a push kick but Flynn slaps the foot to one side. Jab, jab by Kristian - just one landing. Kristian closes the distance and pushes Flynn back into the cage. Flynn wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kristian stops a takedown attempt from Flynn.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Kristian dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kristian defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Flynn. Flynn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kristian sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Flynn somewhat. Kristian lands a really nice looking cross but Flynn seems unphased.
Flynn tries to close the distance and clinch but Kristian swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Flynn shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kristian pushes Flynn off looking to stand but Flynn dives back in and keeps control.

Kristian pushes Flynn off and gets back to his feet. Flynn fails with the takedown. Michael Kristian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akheem Flynn.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flynn takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kristian throws a shot to the body.
Akheem Flynn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Flynn misses with a takedown attempt and Kristian counters with a straight right hand. Flynn is breathing heavily. Flynn takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Flynn is rocked! A swing and a miss from Kristian. Flynn is still on wobbly legs! Can Kristian finish him? Flynn doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kristian connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! No luck with that takedown attempt from Flynn. Flynn seems to have recovered his senses. Flynn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kristian cracks Flynn with a right hand to the side of the head. Kristian throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Flynn changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flynn needs to keep his hands up - Kristian had a free shot at his head there. Michael Kristian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Flynn shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kristian napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kristian is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Flynn off and has taken his back! Flynn is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Kristian controls the position. Flynn is covering up but some of the strikes from Kristian are getting through and doing damage.
Kristian controlling from the back. Kristian has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Flynn trying to control the hands but Kristian breaks the grip. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Michael Kristian overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. What can Flynn do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kristian avoiding Flynn 's attempts to control his hands. Kristian slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kristian has Flynn flattened out and is raining down punches. Flynn is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Kristian lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Flynn tries to break free.
Kristian is working the ground and pound. Can Flynn escape? Flynn tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Kristian trying to control but Flynn is having none of it. Flynn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Kristian dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Flynn throws a counter combo. Kristian closes the distance and pushes Flynn back into the cage. Flynn drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kristian gets the underhooks and prevents it.
I was talking to Kristian's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Kristian works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Flynn is looking for a takedown. Michael Kristian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akheem Flynn. Kristian tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Kristian gets through Flynn's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kristian lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Flynn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kristian escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Donk. Kristian catches Flynn right on the button with a cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flynn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kristian counters with a crisp right hand that drops Flynn! Kristian lets Flynn back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Kristian closes the distance and pushes Flynn back into the cage. A body shot lands from Kristian.
Flynn wants a takedown.
Kristian's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Flynn wants to clinch up but Kristian keeps it at a distance. Flynn on the wrong end of a nice hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kristian throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Flynn stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Flynn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kristian swivels and escapes. Flynn takes one to the side of the head.
Kristian rushes Flynn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kristian escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kristian cracks Flynn with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kristian has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Flynn to stand back up! Kristian darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Flynn's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Kristian before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Michael Kristian! Michael Kristian is the new featherweight champion! Michael Kristian seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
