Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Borris Truck and Jim Leen. Leen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Marine Corps Hymn. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jim Leen enters the cage!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Borris Truck! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 0 losses; Jim Leen!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Truck dives in and grabs Leen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Leen pushes down on Truck's head and hops out.
Truck feints and as Leen raises his hands in defense, Truck changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Truck (2) vs (0) Leen
Truck drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Truck jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leen looking to control.
Leen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Truck is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Truck has gone for a leg lock! Leen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Truck's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Truck (2) vs (2) Leen
Leen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Truck is keeping the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leen stays in close to Truck's body and controls the position.
Leen trying to control the position from guard on top but Truck is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Leen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Truck swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Truck wants to sweep here but Leen controlling him for the moment.
Leen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Leen is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Truck is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Leen postures up.

Leen wants to pass the guard but Truck is keeping the position.
Truck is looking for a triangle but Leen pushes his legs off easily.
Leen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Leen wants to control from the top but Truck keeps moving.
Leen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Truck wants to control the position but Leen says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Leen is looking for a kimura but Truck is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Leen to get the leverage.
Truck wants to improve his position but Leen is controlling well.
Truck is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Leen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Leen's back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Truck (8) vs (4) Leen
