Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duncan The Tall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duncan The Tall has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Duncan The Tall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
30 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Paul Phoenix! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Eddie Farnsworth and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phoenix throws out a loose jab but The Tall uses good head movement to avoid it. A quick step to the side and The Tall tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Phoenix rushes The Tall and presses him up against the cage. Phoenix working aggressively here.
Phoenix working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. The Tall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Phoenix wants to clinch and The Tall counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The Tall lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Phoenix throws a hook to the side of The Tall's head but The Tall sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. The Tall is looking for a counter combo. Phoenix swings widly with a right hand
and The Tall counters with a left to the body. Phoenix swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The Tall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The Tall lands a jab to Phoenix's midsection. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Phoenix throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The Tall lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Phoenix backs up against the cage.
Phoenix takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Phoenix takes a shot to the body in his stride.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Tall lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Phoenix throws a leg kick but The Tall sees it coming and checks it nicely. A little feinted left hand from The Tall on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Phoenix takes one to the chin there. Paul Phoenix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Phoenix looking to land some kicks to the body here.
The Tall seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Phoenix throws out a token jab with nothing on it. The Tall moves out of range as Phoenix throws a body kick.
Phoenix misses with a body kick. Phoenix scores with a body shot.
A shot to the liver by The Tall. Beautiful body shot. Phoenix pushes The Tall up against the cage in a clinch. The Tall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The Tall tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Phoenix was well out of range. Poor timing from The Tall. Phoenix steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Phoenix throws a quick head kick that skims the top of The Tall's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Phoenix misses with a looping left. The Tall cracks a nice hook into Phoenix's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Phoenix tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. The Tall manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. As Phoenix looks to move away, The Tall throws a big counter combo but Phoenix just gets out of the way. No joy there for Phoenix, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The Tall was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Phoenix pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. The Tall seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. The Tall checks the leg kick. Phoenix throws an off balance right hand
and The Tall counters with a left and a right that stings Phoenix. Left hook, right uppercut from The Tall. The Tall ducks under a wild hook from Phoenix. Phoenix takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The Tall misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Phoenix.
Phoenix is trying to counter with his kicks. The Tall misses the shot to the body. The Tall changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. The Tall lands a jab to Phoenix's midsection. The Tall takes a jab right on the kisser.
Phoenix misses with a left hand and The Tall counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Phoenix throws a leg kick and The Tall counters with a two punch combo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Tall scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Phoenix is rocked! Phoenix looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Phoenix is still on wobbly legs! Can The Tall finish him? Phoenix is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. The Tall just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Phoenix has gone limp and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Duncan The Tall! Post fight, Duncan The Tall took to the microphone: 'i will move down to 205 division for my next fight, see ya there!'.
