Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Nansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Stanyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Stanyer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nansen shoots in and drives through. Stanyer sprawls well.

Nansen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stanyer avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Nansen has his hands on Stanyer's head, controlling the position.
Stanyer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Stanyer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nansen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

It looks like Marcos Nansen has been cut.

Stanyer moves into range and clinches up with Nansen.

Nansen makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Stanyer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Nansen sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Nansen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Stanyer regains half guard.

Nansen wants to pass the guard but Stanyer is defending well.

Nansen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Nansen is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Nansen!
