The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabago circles away from the clinch attempt
and Rabago counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rabago is working for a kimura but The is defending it quite comfortably.
The pushes Rabago off looking to stand but Rabago dives back in and keeps control.
Rabago is taking a breather. The says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Rabago lands with a punch from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

After winning the bout, Ray Rabago thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
