Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Kharitonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Bo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergei Kharitonov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, King Bo!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kharitonov tries to close the distance and clinch but Bo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kharitonov is looking to clinch.
A big right from Bo misses.
Bo misses with a double jab.
Bo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kharitonov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Bo counters with a left and a right that stings Kharitonov.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bo takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Kharitonov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bo controls the pace.
Kharitonov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bo manages to get himself to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bo is looking to sweep but instead, Kharitonov has passed into half guard.
Kharitonov is looking to take a break and control but Bo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Bo seems keen to control Kharitonov's posture.
Bo has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Bonsai Club MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Bo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kharitonov's guard.

Bo throws a strike but Kharitonov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kharitonov won't allow Bo to sweep him here.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kharitonov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bo as he avoids it easily.
Bo has closed the distance and engaged Kharitonov in a clinch.
Bo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kharitonov closes the distance and clinches up with Bo, looking for a takedown. Kharitonov pushes Bo against the cage but Bo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A bone on bone clash there as Kharitonov blocks the leg kick.
Bo throws an overhand right that lands on Kharitonov's shoulder, as Kharitonov tries to avoid the shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bo, as that shot connected.

Sergei Kharitonov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kharitonov misses with a takedown attempt - Bo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kharitonov shoots for a double leg takedown but Bo sprawls well. He's pushed Kharitonov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

King Bo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

As Kharitonov backs off Bo throws a huge counter combo but Kharitonov manages to avoid it all.

Bo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bo.

King Bo seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

King Bo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bo postures up in Kharitonov's guard and throws a big left but Kharitonov blocks it.
Oh Kharitonov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kharitonov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Bo gets to his feet and stands over Kharitonov, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Kharitonov felt that one! Bo unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Kharitonov from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). King Bo!
A relieved looking King Bo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
