The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson works the jab nicely.
Johnson misses with a two punch combination.
Powell looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Johnson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Powell.
Powell shoots in but Johnson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Steven Powell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Powell misses with an attempted mid kick.
Johnson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Johnson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Powell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Powell pulls guard effortlessly.

Johnson wants to get up but he can't break Powell's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Powell's head.
Johnson won't allow Powell to get back to his feet.
Powell is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Powell manages to break the clinch.
Johnson lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Powell falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
