Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Kilpatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Bailey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Kilpatrick!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bailey tries to clinch there but Kilpatrick circles away.
Bailey tries to land a leg kick but Kilpatrick saw it coming and moves away.
Kilpatrick tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bailey swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kilpatrick moves out of range of the body kick from Bailey.
Kilpatrick has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Bailey is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Kilpatrick moves forwards but Bailey connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Bailey seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Bailey throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Kilpatrick gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kilpatrick keeps control of Bailey as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Bailey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bailey looks to score with a jab to the body but Kilpatrick is just out of range.
Joe Bailey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bailey uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kilpatrick.
Bailey lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kilpatrick gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bailey.
Kilpatrick tries a head kick but it misses.
It appears Bailey was looking to counter with a kick there.

Kilpatrick creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Kilpatrick is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Bailey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kilpatrick on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Kilpatrick tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bailey misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kilpatrick.
Bailey digs a good body shot into Kilpatrick's ribs.

Kilpatrick is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Kilpatrick gets a double leg takedown into Bailey's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kilpatrick is looking to work some ground and pound but Bailey has wrist control.

Kilpatrick throws an elbow that misses. Bailey uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kilpatrick's guard. Nice move by Bailey!

Bailey advances to half guard.
Kilpatrick wants to improve his position but Bailey is controlling well.
Bailey tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Kilpatrick.
Kilpatrick wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bailey tries to stand but can't do so whilst Kilpatrick controls his leg.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kilpatrick moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A shot to the body from Bailey misses
and Kilpatrick counters with a good low kick that Bailey was not able to check.
Bailey misses with a series of wild punches.

Kilpatrick looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Bailey throws a poor cross that misses
and Kilpatrick counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Bailey dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Oooooh!!! Bailey has knocked Kilpatrick down with a huge combo! Bailey steps away and waves a wobbly Kilpatrick back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

and Bailey counters with a right hand from hell and Kilpatrick is out cold! A vicious knockout!
