Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Sher Shah Suri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistair Spong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suri kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bohemia - Kali Denali . Spong has chosen 2Pac - I'm A Soldier (Echale Mojo Remix) as his entrance music. Alistair Spong told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Suri definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Suri looks to land a combination. Spong sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Suri is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Suri throws a lazy right hand but Spong sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Good leg kick by Suri there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Suri lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Spong has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Spong and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The crowd cheers as Spong lands an impressive looking overhand right. Suri doesn't seem phased though.

Suri is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Spong clips Suri with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Suri a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spong throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Suri stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Suri drops his hands momentarily and Spong takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Spong has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Suri.
Spong fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Having scored a knockdown, Alistair Spong should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.

Suri throws a chopping leg kick but Spong manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
