Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Burks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conor McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGregor is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Foggy Dew. Conor McGregor will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gordon Burks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor McGregor! The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGregor listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. No luck for Burks with that takedown attempt. McGregor connects with a single shot there. Ouch! a nice leg kick from McGregor, right into the meat.
Conor McGregor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burks throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McGregor sees it coming and avoids it easily. McGregor throws out a powerful jab. McGregor misses with a two punch combination.
It looked like Burks wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Burks steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McGregor. McGregor misses with an uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McGregor is fending him off so far but Burks persists. Nope, McGregor circles away and we're back to standing. Burks has McGregor up against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Burks breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McGregor tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Burks was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Burks throws a body shot but no joy. McGregor lands a lovely overhand right. Burks takes one to the chin there. McGregor lands with a nice body punch. Burks misses with a takedown and McGregor counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gordon Burks. That's going to take a lot out of him. McGregor misses with a straight left. Burks slips a jab and a cross from McGregor.
Burks was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. McGregor looks winded! Burks ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A quick step to the side and Burks tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. A jab lands there for McGregor.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burks has closed the distance and engaged McGregor in a clinch.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Burks. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burks avoiding damage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. McGregor prevents a body shot from Burks. Burks scores a nice knee to the body.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Burks. Burks tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McGregor's elbow. Burks struggles to land a body shot inside as McGregor controls his hands.

Burks is pushing McGregor up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Burks dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burks has McGregor pressed against the cage.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Gordon Burks. McGregor scores with a nice strike. McGregor clobbers Burks with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Burks rushes McGregor and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Burks manages to break the clinch.
Burks doesn't succeed with the takedown and McGregor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Burks with a poor takedown enabling McGregor to counter with a crisp jab. Donk. McGregor catches Burks right on the button with a cross.
Burks is rocked! McGregor stuffs the takedown. Oh Burks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! McGregor drops Burks with a huge uppercut! Burks drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. McGregor is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Conor McGregor! Conor McGregor decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
