Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hughs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naya Shinoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinoki has chosen wadiako as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
45 - 45 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Hughs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
32 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Naya Shinoki ! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hughs throws a combination. Shinoki tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Shinoki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Shinoki avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Shinoki feints the counter takedown. Shinoki shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hughs manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Shinoki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hughs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shinoki has managed to get both his arms back between Hughs's legs - danger averted. Hughs tries to strike from the bottom.
Shinoki scoring with some ground and pound. Shinoki working some strikes from top position. Hughs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shinoki on the ground. Hughs looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ground and pound from Shinoki . Hughs is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shinoki pulls his head out easily. Shinoki seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Shinoki is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Shinoki landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Shinoki working over Hughs with some ground and pound. Hughs looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Hughs is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shinoki prevents Hughs from improving his position. Oh Hughs is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Shinoki works his foot free and advances to mount. Hughs seems to have got his legs back now. Shinoki dominating with strikes here. Whack. That's a big, big shot from Shinoki ! Hughs is out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Naya Shinoki ! Jumping up and down and very excited, Naya Shinoki waved his t-shirt featuring Sun-Tzu's logo in front of the cameras.
