The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mahti.
Chris Gunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gunn throws the left hand but Mahti avoids the punch easily.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've been hearing reports that Mahti has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Mahti will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mahti has momentary wrist control but Gunn slips an elbow through the middle.
Gunn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Gunn connects with a couple of short punches.

Mahti is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gunn is looking to take a break and control but Mahti is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gunn cracks Mahti with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Gunn tries for a kimura but Mahti is defending well.
Gunn scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Mahti to see if he's OK.

Gunn scores with a big shot! Mahti's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Mahti! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
