The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalil ducks under a wild hook from Ventura.
Ventura fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ventura rushes Kalil and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ventura misses with a short punch on the inside.
A short right from Ventura on the inside.
Ventura lands a nice shot to the body.
A body shot lands from Ventura.
Ventura misses with the head strike.
Ventura lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kalil backwards.
Ventura pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ventura misses with a looping left.
Kalil avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ventura moves out of range as Kalil throws a body kick.
Kalil on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Ventura gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kalil tries to break the clinch but Ventura is controlling the position.
Ventura pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ventura cracks Kalil with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kalil misses with a leg kick
and Ventura counters with a left to the body.
Ventura ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kalil moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ventura cracks Kalil with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kalil looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ventura finish him?
Kalil is rocked!
Ventura throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Kalil is still on wobbly legs! Can Ventura finish him?
Kalil looks winded!
Ventura throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Ventura throws a pinpoint strike between Kalil's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Kalil crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Ventura scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Anthony Ventura!
