Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Caio Bottura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Tay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bottura comes to the cage accompanied by Face The Pain. Tay has chosen PONPONPON as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Caio Bottura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benjamin Tay!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bottura throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tay on the side of the head.
Bottura throws a combination that misses

and Tay counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bottura!

Tay goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bottura has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Tay but great work by Bottura.
Tay is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Bottura is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tay has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bottura tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bottura has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Tay is trying to improve his position.
Tay manages to get back to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bottura is looking for a kimura but Tay is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bottura to get the leverage.

Bottura seems to be working for a kimura but Tay defends the submission attempt.

Tay gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Bottura is working for a kimura but Tay is defending it quite comfortably.

Bottura is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tay has managed to free his arm - good work.

Bottura is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tay doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bottura.

Tay is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bottura pulls his head out easily.

Tay looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Tay is defending against the submission attempts here by Bottura.
Tay tries to get to full guard but Bottura has control of the leg.
Tay won't allow Bottura to pass to mount.

Bottura has hold of Tay's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tay manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Bottura looking for a guillotine from mount but Tay is having none of it.

Tay is squirming around, avoiding Bottura's attempts to control the action.
Bottura forces the positional change into back control.

Bottura is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Tay is defending well though. Bottura let's go of the attempt for now.
Bottura keeps control of the position as Tay tries to break free.
Bottura is trying to stick to Tay's back but Tay is turning into Bottura. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bottura's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Tay.

Bottura looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bottura escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tay gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bottura pushes a forearm under Tay's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Tay is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Caio Bottura!
A victorious Caio Bottura thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
The defeated Benjamin Tay had this to say: 'I think I'm going to try Featherweight next time, I might be too small for this division.'.
