Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Otso Koski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kron Silva! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koski connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Kron Silva has been cut. Silva misses with a body shot.

Silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Koski's head. Koski blocking the ground and pound attempt from Silva. My spies in The Shark Tank inform me that Silva has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Koski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva is thwarting Koski's attempts to control the position. Silva stalling.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Koski misses with a hook. Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Koski lands a jab. Koski catches Silva with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Silva cracks a nice hook into Koski's ribs. Koski misses with a looping left. Silva looks like he wants to counter punch here. Koski gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Silva to score an easy takedown into full guard. Koski wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Silva manages to pass to side control. Silva looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Koski avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Silva. Silva uses his free foot to push down on Koski's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Koski. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koski is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. It looks like Silva might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Koski ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Koski swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Silva lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Koski scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Silva moves away from the strike by Koski. Silva throws a right hand that Koski ducks under and follows up with a left that Koski also avoids with ease. Koski is looking for a counter combo. Koski lands a nice shot to the body.
Koski is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Silva thuds his right hand into Koski's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Otso Koski is winning the standup battle so far. Koski throws a leg kick which misses Silva's front leg but catches the back leg as Silva tries to avoid it. Koski is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Silva takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Nice uppercut there from Koski. Otso Koski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Koski misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silva.

We've been told by Koski's head coaches at Montreal Fighter's Gym (5* Sparring) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Silva takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Silva jabs Koski to the body, keeping him at a distance. Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Koski. Silva stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Koski. Koski sizes up Silva with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Silva closes the distance and clinches. Silva throws a head punch that misses. Silva lands a shot to the body. Silva works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Koski lands an elbow that stopped Silva in his tracks for a moment. Silva is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Silva tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Koski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Koski throws a solid leg kick but Silva takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Koski. Silva tries to counter by closing the distance. Otso Koski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Silva lands a nice hook to Koski's body. Koski takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Koski moves away from the strike by Silva. Koski throws an ugly left hook that misses

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Koski jabs Silva to the body, keeping him at a distance. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Koski paws at him with a jab and circles away. Silva scores with a takedown into Koski's guard. Silva stops Koski from standing up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Koski can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Silva controls the pace. Silva stopping the sweep attempt from Koski.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Otso Koski. I think Silva has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
