Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dale Ashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Arreitta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dale Ashley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Arreitta! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arreitta rushes Ashley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ashley prevents a takedown attempt there.
Arreitta fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Arreitta has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Ashley is trying to keep an underhook but Arreitta manages to get the takedown into half guard. Ashley tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Arreitta is working for a kimura but Ashley is defending it quite comfortably.
Ashley is trying to get back to full guard. Ashley landing rabbit punches to the side of Arreitta's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points. Ashley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Arreitta blocks the strikes from Ashley.
Ashley tries to get to full guard but Arreitta has control of the leg. Ashley lands with a few short shots to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ashley manages to get to full guard.
Ashley striking off his back but it's not causing Arreitta any problems. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arreitta stands and throws Ashley's legs to the side, diving into side control. Arreitta is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ashley has escaped the position, nice work there. Ashley is trying to control Arreitta's posture but Arreitta avoids it. Arreitta tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Ashley is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arreitta trying to control the position but Ashley is working away. Arreitta works to advance to full mount. Ashley defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Arreitta can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ashley is looking to escape. Ashley is in all sorts of trouble here.
Arreitta raining down hammerfists from mount. Arreitta fails to take his opponent's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arreitta swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ashley is now in Arreitta's guard. A big mistake from Arreitta there, giving up the dominant position! Ashley stands and steps away. Arreitta gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ashley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Arreitta. Arreitta with a poor takedown and Ashley counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dale Ashley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Arreitta. Arreitta looks winded! Arreitta misses with a takedown attempt and Ashley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Nice sprawl there from Ashley as Arreitta shoots in. Arreitta tries to close the distance and clinch but Ashley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ashley lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arreitta shoots and misses and Ashley counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ashley instigates a clinch. Arreitta letting Ashley take a breather here. Ashley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Arreitta fails with the takedown. Ashley feinted there with a counter leg kick. Ashley throws a head kick but Arreitta moves out of range.
Ashley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Arreitta. Ashley thinks about countering with a head kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ashley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Arreitta looks to land a right hand but Ashley moved out of range. Ashley changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Michael Arreitta will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Ashley with a jab. Arreitta tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ashley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ashley feinted there with a counter leg kick. Arreitta closes the distance and clinches up with Ashley, looking for a takedown. Arreitta pushes Ashley against the cage but Ashley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. As Arreitta backs away, Ashley returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Arreitta shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Arreitta trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Ashley manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Ashley content to stall in guard here. Ashley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arreitta looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Ashley is defending well. Arreitta quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Ashley has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Arreitta celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
