The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Laponov to the ground. Takahashi is now in Laponov's guard.
Takahashi drops back looking for a leg! Laponov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Laponov manages to kick Takahashi off! Takahashi jumps back into Laponov's guard.

Takahashi swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Laponov is now in Takahashi 's guard. A big mistake from Takahashi there, giving up the dominant position!
