Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitchell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Baha Men - Island Boy. Tom Mitchell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kevin Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tom Mitchell! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kevin Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee misses with a takedown and Mitchell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Mitchell cracks Lee with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Mitchell jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Lee tries for a takedown but Mitchell circles away easily letting Mitchell counter with a right hand. Mitchell looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mitchell scores with a jab. Lee acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Lee slips under a jab. Horrible takedown attempt by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by Mitchell, which made it look bad. Mitchell misses with an uppercut. Lee saw that one coming. A momentary lapse in concentration from Lee enables Mitchell to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lee manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mitchell seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mitchell trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitchell advances position into side control! A lull in the action here. Mitchell swings around for an armbar but Lee sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mitchell's guard. Lee wants to pass the guard but Mitchell is keeping the position. Mitchell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lee is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mitchell keeping full guard, as Lee tries to pass. Mitchell is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mitchell working a defensive guard here.
Lee slips nicely into half guard. Mitchell regains full guard. Nicely done. Mitchell looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Lee puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Lee wants to free his trapped foot but Mitchell is holding on for dear life with his legs. Mitchell is looking to control Lee's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mitchell avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lee seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mitchell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mitchell is trying to maintain the position but Lee is very close to passing his half guard. Mitchell gets full guard. Mitchell is trying to control the position but Lee postures up. Lee pushes down on Mitchell's leg and manages to get into half guard. Lee wants to work for an arm triangle but Mitchell is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lee is looking to take a break and control but Mitchell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mitchell gets back to full guard.

Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Mitchell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Mitchell dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Lee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mitchell circles away. Lee has his takedown stuffed letting Mitchell counter with a right hand. Mitchell fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Lee fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown attempt by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by Mitchell, which made it look bad. Lee slips a straight right by Mitchell. Mitchell leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mitchell throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lee on the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice shot lands for Mitchell. Kevin Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mitchell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lee.
Lee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mitchell lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Lee fails with the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitchell cracks Lee with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Lee darts in looking for a takedown but Mitchell gets double underhooks and turns Lee into the cage. Lee shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Mitchell lands a jab to the head.
Lee shoots in for a double leg but Mitchell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tom Mitchell seems to be getting the better of the standup. A shot to the liver by Mitchell. Beautiful body shot. Lee fails to land the takedown. Mitchell misses with a looping left. Mitchell uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mitchell's waist but Mitchell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side. Mitchell throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mitchell ducks down and throws a hook to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Mitchell darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Lee has his takedown stuffed and Mitchell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Mitchell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lee steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mitchell. Mitchell lands a jab to the head.
Mitchell lands with a right hand. Mitchell's corner calls for a 1-2. Mitchell obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Mitchell scores with a jab to the jaw. Lee fails with a takedown attempt. Mitchell shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lee manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Mitchell is pushing down on Lee's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lee is fighting to maintain full guard but Mitchell has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitchell perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Lee is staying active underneath Mitchell, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mitchell sitting and controlling from the half guard. Lee gets back to full guard.
Mitchell sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lee's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mitchell trying to control the action but Lee is working from the bottom. Lee gets full guard. Lee is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mitchell is aware though and is defending well. Mitchell won't allow Lee to sweep him here.

Tom Mitchell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Mitchell throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Mitchell scores with a jab. Lee acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mitchell, as that shot connected.
Lee misses with a takedown attempt and Mitchell counters with a nice uppercut. Nice takedown defense from Mitchell. No joy for Lee on that attempt. Mitchell has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lee on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Mitchell scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Lee walks into a left hand. Mitchell throws a good cross that connects.
Mitchell fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lee on the side of the head. Mitchell takes a swing at Lee's ribcage but misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lee slips under a jab. Lee shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Mitchell is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Mitchell looking for submissions off his back.

Lee is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mitchell is surviving well by controlling Lee's body position as best he can. Kevin Lee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mitchell tries to hold on but Lee pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mitchell sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Mitchell keeps control of the position for the meantime. Mitchell is pressing down on Lee's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Mitchell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Mitchell passes to full mount! Mitchell working for a submission but Lee is keeping him at bay. Lee wants to control but Mitchell is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitchell is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lee has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Lee manages to regain half guard. Good work. Lee gets full guard. Lee looking for a guillotine here but Mitchell defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mitchell's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Lee looking to control.
Mitchell trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mitchell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kevin Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mitchell's corner is telling him to maintain position.
And that's the end of the fight! Tom Mitchell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mitchell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
