Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pat Elwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Koala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elwood comes to the cage accompanied by Crazy Town - Butterfly. Kid Koala will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Pat Elwood has been cut.

Elwood lands with a kick to the temple. Koala shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Elwood drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Koala regains half guard there - taking advantage of Elwood's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Elwood wants to take a breather but Koala is having none of it.
Elwood is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Koala is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Elwood drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Koala dives on top into guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Koala is pushing Elwood's head away, looking to escape. Elwood manages to hold on to the position though.

Elwood drives through and clinches with Koala against the cage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Koala throws a combination. Elwood tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Elwood closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Elwood has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Koala is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Elwood yanks on the arm and Koala is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Elwood.
