Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dick Block (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Hellsfyre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dick Block! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Damien Hellsfyre! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Block shoots for a double leg takedown but Hellsfyre sprawls well. He's pushed Block's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Block. Block looks for a takedown but Hellsfyre sprawls well. Hellsfyre looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dick Block. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hellsfyre slaps away a takedown attempt from Block, before circling back to the center of the mat. Horrible takedown attempt by Block or perhaps it was just good defense by Hellsfyre, which made it look bad. Hellsfyre shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Block's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hellsfyre tries to free his leg and advance position but Block is retaining full guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hellsfyre working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Hellsfyre avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hellsfyre keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Block's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Block trying to keep a closed guard but Hellsfyre is proving a slippery customer.
Block has momentary wrist control but Hellsfyre slips an elbow through the middle. Block looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hellsfyre is one step ahead there. Hellsfyre missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hellsfyre engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hellsfyre sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Block's guard. Hellsfyre is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Hellsfyre lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hellsfyre seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Block is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hellsfyre scores with a couple of nice shots. Hellsfyre takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Block with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Hellsfyre is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Block trying to hold on to Hellsfyre's head to control him but Hellsfyre postures up.

Block tries to close the distance and clinch but Hellsfyre swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Block darts in trying to clinch enabling Hellsfyre to counter with a crisp jab. A low kick from Block is predictable there and Hellsfyre counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hellsfyre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Block swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hellsfyre postures up and lands a big shot to Block's brow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Block looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hellsfyre puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. That's one minute gone in the round. Ground and pound from Hellsfyre. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hellsfyre content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Block is looking for a sweep. Hellsfyre is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hellsfyre throwing shots but Block is blocking nicely. Hellsfyre controlling the action here. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hellsfyre lands a nice short elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Block gets back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hellsfyre throws a shot from downtown. Block moves away and avoids it. Hellsfyre has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Block tries for a takedown but Hellsfyre circles away easily and Hellsfyre counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hellsfyre stays in close to Block's body and controls the position. Hellsfyre is working Block over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hellsfyre makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Hellsfyre trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hellsfyre stands and throws Block's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hellsfyre in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Hellsfyre is staying tight to Block's torso, preventing him from escaping. Hellsfyre is continuing to stall. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Damien Hellsfyre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Block has a takedown stuffed. Hellsfyre feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hellsfyre is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Hellsfyre content just to control the position here. Block seems to have got his legs back now. Block in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The referee warns Block that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Damien Hellsfyre is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Hellsfyre controlling from mount. Block is bucking up trying to escape but Hellsfyre cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Block is wriggling around trying to escape.

And that's the end of the fight! Damien Hellsfyre comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hellsfyre has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
