The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrix shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thomas but Thomas pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hendrix shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thomas as he avoids it easily.
Thomas has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hendrix is landing a low percentage of strikes.
A punch lands to the side of Hendrix 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Thomas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hendrix.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Thomas has cracked Hendrix with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Thomas lands another huge swinging hook and Hendrix tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Hendrix, before Thomas can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tom Thomas!
