The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Augustus takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Augustus shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sampson defends it nicely.
Bo Sampson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sampson sends Augustus crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Sampson is motioning to the referee to let Augustus up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like DJ Augustus has been cut.
Sampson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Augustus dives in for a single leg takedown but Sampson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Sampson misses with a wild body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sampson lands a big uppercut and Augustus crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Augustus looks OK. Sampson waves Augustus back to his feet!

Augustus is rocked!
Sampson throws an uppercut from hell that sends Augustus clean off his feet! He's out cold! Sampson stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
