Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Graves kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is London Calling. Walker has chosen Another One Bites the Dust as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as John Walker enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Graves! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, John Walker! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Graves misses with a takedown attempt and Walker counters with a nice body shot. Nice body punch from Walker. Nice takedown defense from Walker. No joy for Graves on that attempt. Walker stuns Graves with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Walker lands a head kick!
Walker has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Graves is landing a low percentage of strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walker misses with a head kick.
Graves half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Walker fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Graves keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
John Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker misses with a right hand and Graves counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Graves trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Walker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Graves is one step ahead there. We've been hearing good reports from Graves's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Walker keeping full guard, as Graves tries to pass. Graves pushing down on Walker's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Graves is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Walker sees it coming and defends easily. Graves is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Walker has managed to free his arm - good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Graves moves nicely into side control.

Graves working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Graves is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Walker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Walker prevents Graves from improving position.

Walker is trying to control Graves's posture but Graves avoids it. Graves goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Walker has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Graves but great work by Walker. Graves regains half guard. Graves moves into full guard.
Walker's corner is telling him to maintain position. Graves escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Walker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Walker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Walker wants to get up but he can't break Graves's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Graves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Walker won't allow Graves to sweep him here. Walker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Graves has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Walker has managed to get both his arms back between Graves's legs - danger averted. Graves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Alex Graves will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Alex Graves is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice uppercut there from Walker.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker throws a leg kick which misses Graves's front leg but catches the back leg as Graves tries to avoid it. Walker scores with a spinning back kick! Walker connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Walker feints and then cracks Graves's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Graves down. Walker connects with a body shot that sends Graves's belly button to the back. Walker fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Graves has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Walker thows a leg kick but Graves checks it and Graves counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Walker is controlling Graves's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Graves is looking to pass Walker's guard but actually Walker recovers to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Walker keeping full guard, as Graves tries to pass. Graves passes Walker's left leg - he's now in half guard. Graves looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Walker is doing well to control the position and prevent Graves from advancing to side control.

He's trying to wriggle out but Graves has cracked it and Walker is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Graves!
