Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jayson Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emile Sauvage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sauvage has chosen Chaos Is Me by Orchid as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jayson Ward! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Emile Sauvage! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sauvage drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Sauvage trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sauvage wants to control from the top but Ward keeps moving. Sauvage advances to half guard. Sauvage wants to free his trapped foot but Ward is holding on for dear life with his legs. Sauvage is trying to control the action in half guard but Ward is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sauvage is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sauvage has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sauvage blocks Ward's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Sauvage lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Ward gets back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ward is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Sauvage pulls his head out easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sauvage trying to pass the guard but Ward defending well. Sauvage passes to side control. Sauvage works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Ward wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Sauvage landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Sauvage is looking to take a break and control but Ward is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sauvage wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ward, who protects the arm well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ward is trying to improve his position. Sauvage is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ward has escaped the position, nice work there. Sauvage wants to control but Ward is keeping him busy. Ward tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sauvage wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The strikes coming from Sauvage are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Ward manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Sauvage is trying to work for a kimura but Ward is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sauvage uses his free foot to push down on Ward's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ward. Sauvage goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ward is on top in guard.
Sauvage looks gassed! Sauvage is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sauvage looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sauvage looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Ward puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Sauvage works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ward wants to stand but Sauvage has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Ward gets to his feet. Sauvage looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Sauvage tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ward was well out of range. Poor timing from Sauvage. Ward throws a head kick but Sauvage moves out of range.
Ward goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Sauvage throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ward sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sauvage shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ward as he avoids it easily. Ward staying out of range there. Sauvage shoots in but Ward avoids the takedown attempt easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Emile Sauvage dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A left and a right from Sauvage both land. Nice combination. Sauvage closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sauvage lands in his opponent's guard. Ward keeping full guard, as Sauvage tries to pass. Ward is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sauvage trying to control but Ward is working from the bottom.

Sauvage passes into half guard. Sauvage has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sauvage is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Sauvage!
