Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Morris Norman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Sandusky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gary Sandusky looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Morris Norman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gary Sandusky!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandusky misses with a kick to the body.
Sandusky looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Norman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Norman escapes and gets back to his feet.

Sandusky gets caught napping as Norman dives in and scores a takedown. Sandusky manages to retain guard.
Norman is working Sandusky over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Norman controlling from the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Norman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Sandusky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Norman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Norman chips away with some ground and pound.

Sandusky is working an open guard so Norman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Sandusky moves out of range of the strikes.

Norman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Norman lands in his opponent's guard.

Norman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sandusky for as long as he can get away with.
Sandusky is striking but Norman is not phased and passes to half guard.
We've been informed that Sandusky has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Norman decides to return to a standing position.
Norman throws a series of punches but Sandusky avoids them all with ease.

Norman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Norman wants to stand but Sandusky has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Norman is taking a breather. Sandusky says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Norman is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sandusky has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sandusky shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Norman sprawls well. Norman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sandusky gets slowly back to his feet.
Norman is looking to counter punch.
Norman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sandusky can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Norman controls the pace.
Sandusky is breathing heavily.

Sandusky is working an open guard so Norman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Norman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sandusky's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Norman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Norman stands up and waves to Sandusky to follow him.

Sandusky is wriggling around but Norman manages to pass to half guard.

Norman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Ground and pound from Norman.
Norman is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Norman slips a nice elbow through Sandusky's hands, connecting with Sandusky's forehead.
Sandusky is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Norman scores with a couple of nice shots.

Norman decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Norman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Norman in particular looking to stall.

Norman decides to return to a standing position.

Norman feints and as Sandusky raises his hands in defense, Norman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Norman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sandusky is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Norman is controlling him.
Sandusky is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Morris Norman dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Norman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Sandusky wants to get back to his feet but Norman is dominant here and he's now got Sandusky's back!
Norman has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Sandusky's body.

Sandusky is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Norman gets his way!
Norman controls the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sandusky takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Norman lands shots from the back.
Sandusky tries to break free.
Sandusky is trapped and Norman is scoring with shots to the head and body.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Norman is working the ground and pound. Can Sandusky escape?
Sandusky rolls, trying to escape but Norman keeps control of the position.
Norman biding his time, controlling Sandusky.
The referee is taking a good look at Sandusky as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Norman!

Norman just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Norman controlling the position well here. Sandusky rolled but Norman kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Sandusky is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Norman gets his way!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Norman is riding his opponent, not letting Sandusky buck him off.
Gary Sandusky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Morris Norman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Norman is persistently looking for the submission but Sandusky is defending it well.

And that's the end of the fight!
Morris Norman showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Norman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
