The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward tries to work over Do Santos 's front leg with a kick but Do Santos checks it.
Ward throws a right hand that Do Santos ducks under and follows up with a left that Do Santos also avoids with ease.
Ward connects with the punch.
Good shot there by Ward.

Do Santos shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Do Santos was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ward is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Do Santos lands a decent elbow from side control.
Ward tries to bench press Do Santos off him but Do Santos keeps the position.
Ward seems a little lost for a moment, as Do Santos dominates the positioning.
Do Santos is looking to take a break and control but Ward is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Do Santos has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ward is looking for a sweep.

Do Santos wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ward, who protects the arm well.
Ward is trying to buck Do Santos off.
The referee asks Do Santos politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Do Santos prefers to stall for the moment though.
Do Santos sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Ward is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Do Santos wants to control but Ward is keeping him busy.

Do Santos has an Americana. Ward didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Do Santos is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Do Santos hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
