Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ngabdi Mulyadi! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ben Watson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mulyadi looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Mulyadi needs to keep his hands up - Miller had a free shot at his head there. Miller throws a low kick, looking for Mulyadi's leg but Mulyadi calmly moves out of range. As Miller backs off Mulyadi throws a huge counter combo but Miller manages to avoid it all. Miller fails with an attempt to clinch.
Miller sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Miller dives in and grabs Mulyadi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mulyadi pushes down on Miller's head and hops out. Excellent takedown into side control there by Miller. Mulyadi defending against the ground and pound. Mulyadi is trying to improve his position. Mulyadi keeps trying to improve his position. The ground and pound from Miller seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mulyadi managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Miller.

A bit of a lull in the action here. Miller tries to score with some ground and pound. Mulyadi controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The strikes coming from Miller are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Miller will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Miller tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Miller has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Mulyadi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Miller wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mulyadi gets back to half guard. Mulyadi looks winded! Miller is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Mulyadi is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
