Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 66 - 1, fighting out of New York, Brij Khali! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Labosky! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khali stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Labosky. Labosky rushes Khali and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Labosky manages to break the clinch.
Khali darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Labosky is controlling Khali's trapped leg to prevent Khali from advancing to side control. Labosky pushes Khali off looking to stand but Khali dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Labosky wants to improve his position but Khali is controlling well.
Labosky keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Labosky tries to roll over but Khali keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khali decides to return to a standing position. Labosky has taken the fight to the clinch.

Khali gets tackled into the cage by Labosky. Labosky maintains the clinch. Labosky has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Khali clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Labosky has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Khali's body.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Even with his hooks in, Labosky manages to miss with strikes from the back. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Labosky has the hooks in. Khali is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Good control from Labosky. Khali covering up well under a series of strikes from Labosky. Khali is really stuck here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Labosky struggling to land strikes to the head as Khali covers up. A bit of a pause in the action here. Labosky controlling the positon. Khali is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Labosky is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Labosky is riding his opponent, not letting Khali buck him off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jean Labosky dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Good standup being displayed there by Labosky as he connects with a hook. Labosky lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Khali circles away quickly and effectively. Labosky's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Labosky duly obliges. Labosky instigates a clinch. Labosky ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Labosky no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Khali won't allow Labosky to get back to his feet. Labosky trying to control the position here. That's one minute gone in the round. Khali gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Labosky lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Labosky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Khali drops down looking for a counter takedown but Labosky sprawls and moves away. Labosky has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Khali sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Labosky thuds his right hand into Khali's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Khali dives in for a single leg takedown but Labosky sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Labosky closes the distance and lands a one-two. Jean Labosky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Labosky fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Khali, pushing him back against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Labosky lands an elbow that stopped Khali in his tracks for a moment.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Labosky throws a push kick but Khali slaps the foot to one side. Labosky ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Khali fails with the takedown and Labosky counters with a two punch combo. Labosky drives through and clinches with Khali against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Labosky showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Labosky gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Khali fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brij Khali. That's going to take a lot out of him. Labosky has closed the distance and engaged Khali in a clinch.

Khali is looking to stand up but Labosky isn't so interested in that idea. Labosky pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Khali is keeping the position for now. Brij Khali is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Labosky plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Labosky thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Khali if he has to take too many more of those.

Labosky pushes Khali off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Jean Labosky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khali goes for a double leg but Labosky avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Labosky continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brij Khali. That's going to take a lot out of him. Labosky rushes Khali and presses him up against the cage. Khali drops down looking for an ankle pick but Labosky pulls his leg out and moves away.
Labosky lands a lovely overhand right. Labosky lands with a thumping leg kick.

Khali tries to counter with a takedown but Labosky is quick to defend against it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Labosky misses with a wild combination.

And that's the end of the fight! Jean Labosky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Labosky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
